Halton Region Brew Club?

Post by Tyrsis »

Hi all,
Like some other posts, I have noted a distinct lack of homebrewin clubs in the GTA.
I am interested in getting together with other home brewers to talk about brewing and to taste the concoctions we come up with!
I am trying to get a feel for wether there is any interest in putting something together.

I know that Outcidr and Cameronlaird are in Halton region, but are there any others?

Let me know! I will even offer up my house for get togethers, if there is interest.

I'm new to the forum...and am still building my brewery. I am in Oakville and have a friend who is AG brewing and has been for years.

He's not on forums, but we are both looking to put together a group that meets from time to time to meet/discuss/brew together.

I've been away from the forums for a while but I've just joined a club in Hamilton called HOZERs. Its mostly a mailing list but they do events infrequently and are heavily involved in a beer festival coming to Hamilton in July.

Hi I'm in Waterdown, if you get something going let me know.

At the least we should be looking into a grain group buy from Gilbertson & Page

You could join the SOB's. They are gearing to place their spring bulk buy.
There are a few guys from Halton on the site.

GTA Brews is a fairly active Toronto club. A bit far to come in from Halton but we have a few guys that come in from Brampton and Oakville already. Monthly meetings and all that, all homebrewers are welcome no matter the geography.

I have been looking around as well. So, i have set up a facebook page called Halton Homebrewers and would love to start things that way if anyone is intersted. I havent been on Facebook in years but rejoined for this purpose alone.
I am a relatively new homebrewer but i am very keen and have been reading and learning a lot. Did 3 brews from extract and have now completed my 3rd all grain. My brother has been brewing for about a year and i have been learning a great deal from him.
I hope you will join the group. Plan is to share our experiences, successes, mistakes, whatever to help us all better enjoy the craft. Possible to even do some group or bulk buying to help bring costs down. Look forward to seeing you there and here in these forums which are also great.
