Bottle Filler Mishap. and Good outcome.

Post by Max »

After some experimenting with automatic (unattended) bottle level filling, I purchased a DeMaria Super Automatico unit.
I really like the unit.
The metallic parts appeared to be made of stainless, so on a couple of occasions I used a dilute Chlorine solution to sterilize the unit.
Unfortunately a small check valve component was evidently made of aluminum.
Aluminum and Chlorine do not play well together, with the result was the aluminum part almost completely dissolved! :(
As a long shot and with the help of Google translator, I emailed the Italian manuf. if the part was avail and at what cost.
After a couple of pleasant emails, the Co. said they would mail me out a part, free of charge, and instructed me to Flush the unit with water only.
The parts they sent out exceeded the small failed item, so now I have other 'spares'.

It work on a preset back pressure diaphragm when the level reaches to whatever the bottle fill level is set at, there is also an overflow using a bottle or container so no product is wasted if frothing occurs etc.
