Timing of adding oxygen to wort

Post by esjay92 »

So my counterflow chiller had a hiccup halfway through my cooling process so when the wort entered the fermenter it was approx. 32 C. At this time I pumped my oxygen into it with my stone and O2 tank. However I covered it and left it as it cooled down to pitching temps. When this APA reached 20 C I poured my starter in and sealed up the cap.

Should I have repeated my oxygenation process at time of pitching? It was about 4 hours later...

I would of waited until it cooled before adding 02. 32 C is quite warm.
